- Start a new camp
June 5-11 • Omaha, Nebraska
On Sunday morning we will join the RFKC camp staff in their Commissioning Service, followed by an afternoon of training at the church. We then drive to Covenant Cedars, situated in the rolling countryside, nestled in the cedars along the Platte River, where we’ll be the remainder of the week. Accommodations are double bed shared rooms with restrooms and shower down the hall. So bring a robe and shower shoes. Friday’s Welcome Home Dinner will follow back at the church in Omaha. Departure from the church for the airport will be at approx. 6 P.M.
June 26-July 2 • Portland, Oregon
River-front accommodations are comfortable hotel rooms with single and double beds and private bath. Rooms are housed in a state-of-the-art corporate training facility. You'll breathe deep, pure air through the pines and oak trees and observe "The Royal Village" - a camp facility adaptation designed especially for Royal Family Kids' Camps. You'll be picked up on Saturday at the Portland airport, attend the Welcome Reception and Orientation and spend the night locally. Sunday's commissioning service will be held at the Host Camp Church, which has a contemporary-style worship. Lunch and an afternoon of teaching will follow. On Sunday afternoon, we travel about 10 miles to Canby Grove, where training will take place the rest of the week. Training concludes on Friday back at the host church, as we observe the Host Camp "Welcome Home Dinner" and say goodbye. Plan departures from Portland airport anytime after 7 P.M. July 17-23 • Madison, Alabama
If you would like to see how camp is run successfully on a university campus, consider attending training at the University in Florence, Alabama. After you arrive at the Huntsville International Airport, you'll be taken to a hotel where the Welcome Reception and Orientation are held. On Sunday morning we'll observe the Host Camp's Commissioning service and an afternoon of training. Then, when you arrive at the University Sunday evening, you will be amazed to witness what can be done in a "non-traditional" camp setting! But don't think that just because it's on a college campus, the children don't have a great time! You will see how the typical RFKC "royal treatment" is bestowed upon each child as they experience activities throughout the campus and establish HOPE of a college education someday! Accommodations are in dorm rooms with air conditioning and showers/restrooms "down the hall." Bring a robe and shower "flip-flops." For those interested in doing some sight-seeing before or after training, visit local areas that boast of "antebellum and anti-gravity." The area is rich in Civil War history, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center is in Huntsville, and Ivy Green, the birthplace and home of Helen Keller, are also nearby. |

Attend training amid thousands of acres of corn rows—on every roadside for miles and miles and miles. This is
Located just 20 miles south of the Portland city limits, Canby Grove Conference Center offers cool forest glades, and the relaxing gurgle of the Molalla River.
When the staff at Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison, Alabama couldn't find a retreat center to hold its Royal Family Kids' Camps, they became creative and discovered the great facilities at the University of North Alabama. Their Camp Director now says she could not imagine having camp anywhere else!
