June 7-13 • Geneva, Illinois
Covenant Harbor Retreat Center offers a beautiful training ground in the Midwest. The Center is on 51 wooded acres on the north shore of Lake Geneva and was historically the site of an exclusive private estate. Sleeping accommodations consist of semi-private rooms with private bath. The training room is located within the three-story Lodge (seen in picture to the right). [Note: This is a "drive to" site. In choosing this site, you must plan your own transportation to the hotel in Geneva, IL, as we are not able to pick up individuals at the airport in Chicago.]June 21-27 • Bellingham, Washington
Breezes sweeping across Puget Sound "sing" through the stately evergreens at this training site. Following your arrival at Bellingham's Municipal Airport, you'll go to a local hotel. Relax for a few hours until we depart for the Welcome Reception and Orientation. On Sunday we transfer to The Firs where we will be for the rest of the week. Lodging is in a recently remodeled guest house and a few smaller cabins. All are carpeted and offer shared baths. Sunday morning we will take a short, 10 minute drive to the Host Camp Church to be a part of their RFKC Commissioning Service, and classroom training all afternoon. On Friday, at the close of the week, we go back to the Church to participate in the Camp's Welcome Home Dinner, departing for the airport after 6 P.M. June 28-July 4 • Portland, Oregon
River-front accommodations are comfortable hotel rooms with single and double beds and private bath. Rooms are housed in a state-of-the-art corporate training facility. You'll breathe deep, pure air through the pines and oak trees and observe "The Royal Village" - a camp facility adaptation designed especially for Royal Family Kids' Camps. You'll be picked up on Saturday at the Portland airport and spend the night locally. Sunday's commissioning service will be held at the Host Camp Church, which has a contemporary-style worship. Lunch and an afternoon of teaching will follow. On Sunday afternoon, we travel about 10 miles to Canby Grove, where training will take place the rest of the week. Training concludes on Friday back at the host church, as we observe the Host Camp "Welcome Home Dinner" and say goodbye. Plan departures from Portland airport anytime after 7 P.M. July 12-18 • Madison, Alabama
If you would like to see how camp is run successfully on a university campus, consider attending training at the University in Florence, Alabama. After you arrive at the Huntsville International Airport, you'll be treated to some southern down-home cooking at the Welcome Reception. Then, when you arrive at the University Sunday evening, you will be amazed to witness what can be done in a "non-traditional" camp setting! But don't think that just because it's on a college campus, the children don't have a great time! You will see how the typical RFKC "royal treatment" is bestowed upon each child as they experience activities throughout the campus and establish HOPE of a college education someday! Accommodations are in dorm rooms with air conditioning and showers/restrooms "down the hall." Bring a robe and shower "flip-flops." For those interested in doing some sight-seeing before or after training, visit local areas that boast of "antebellum and anti-gravity." The area is rich in Civil War history, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center is in Huntsville, and Ivy Green, the birthplace and home of Helen Keller, are also nearby. Aug 9-15 • Winchester, Virginia
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon prior to the Welcome Reception & Orientation Saturday night on site at the hotel. Following the Commissioning Service on Sunday morning at the Host Camp Church, training will begin in a meeting room on the church campus where lunch will be served. Training will be held Sunday afternoon. Afterwards, the group will travel a short distance to Pine Creek Camp where you will reside for the remainder of the week on 85 acres of pristine wooded area. Lodging will be provided in a two-story dormitory in shared rooms, quietly situated away from the mainstream of the camp. For the "Welcome Home Dinner" on Friday, we return to the church in Winchester. [Note: This is a "drive to" site. In choosing this site, you must plan your own transportation to the hotel in Winchester, VA, as we are not able to pick up individuals at the airport in Washington, DC.]

We converge on Saturday for a Welcome Reception and Orientation in Geneva, IL – a well-known, charming historic town. On Sunday, we will attend Commissioning Services of the RFKC Staff at the First Baptist Church in Geneva. Following Sunday afternoon training, we will travel across the border from Geneva, IL to Geneva, WI, where we will spend the rest of the week in training along the shores of beautiful Lake Geneva.
This Northwestern training site is an hour south of Vancouver, British Columbia and 1 1/2 hours north of Seattle. Training is held at The Firs, a conference center situated in a 30 acre grove of Douglas Fir, overlooking Lake Whatcom.
Located just 20 miles south of the Portland city limits, Canby Grove Conference Center offers cool forest glades, and the relaxing gurgle of the Molalla River.
When the staff at Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison, Alabama couldn't find a retreat center to hold its Royal Family Kids' Camp, they became creative and discovered the great facilities at the University of North Alabama. Their Camp Director now says she could not imagine having camp anywhere else!
Enjoy the colonial traditions of this eastern region, nestled in the mountains of Virginia. After arriving you'll stay at a first-rate hotel complete with breakfast.
